A Nebraska legacy recruit has earned a spot in the class of 2024 as a walk-on. Trent Uhlir is a linebacker and fullback for Battle Creek High School.
Blessed to be able to announce my commitment to the University of Nebraska! I’ve always dreamed of following my family’s footsteps and now that I am it’s a dream come true. I’d like to thank Coach Carlson and all the coaches I’ve had that have mentored me over the years. Without them none of this would be possible. I’d like to thank Coach Rhule and his staff for believing in my abilities and giving me an opportunity of a lifetime. GBR!
Last season Uhlir ran for 917 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also had 39 solo tackles and 61 total tackles for 2022.
His father, Todd, played I-Back for Nebraska during the 1994 and 1995 seasons. A shoulder injury would end his football career prematurely.
