Nebraska Department of Correctional Services reports inmate death
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – The Nebraska Department of Correctional Services reported that an inmate died Monday at a Lincoln hospital.
Carl Christian, 51, was incarcerated at the Nebraska State Penitentiary and was serving a 10 to 15 year sentence out of Douglas County for possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person. His sentence began on May 2, 2023.
Whenever an inmate dies in the custody of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services, a grand jury will conduct an investigation.
