A Nebraska Track and Field athlete won the triple jump at the NACAC U23 Championships over the weekend. Rhianna Phipps won with a jump of 13.61 meters, a new personal record.
Just last month, Phipps earned her spot as a second-team All-American at the NCAA Championships. She finished 13th with a jump of 13.35 meters.
Phipps competed at Kansas State for one season before coming to Nebraska for the 2023 season. The NACAC U23 Championships is a three-day and 88-event track and field meet between North American, Central American, and Caribbean Athletic Associations for athletes under the age of twenty-three.
