Miss Nebraska Teens spend the afternoon at Axes & Aces

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – It’s been a busy two days for the Miss Nebraska Teen Pageant Contestants. On, Friday the young girls got a break from the stage and made an appearance at Axes & Aces for some fun and games.

The Miss Nebraska Co-Executive Director Megan Doughty said why they wanted to go to Axes and Aces.

“We love to have the girls experience things around North Platte and be apart of the community,” Doughty said. “So anything we can do to have them have that experience is what we like to do and this is a new business that just opened. We had the delegates here last year and they wanted something different and haven’t experienced before.”

Doughty said what it means to see these girls have fun and grow as friends and sisters.

“We’re just getting them to relax and have some sisterhood and build some relationships and have a little of a break and they’ll have prelim tonight and finals tomorrow,” said Doughty.

Winners will be crowned tomorrow for Miss Nebraska and Miss Nebraska Teen at North Platte High School.
