In addition, the University of Nebraska’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering gave a presentation on the plastic road initiative, which South Sioux City will be the first city in Nebraska to build.
“Our unique tri-state location brings with it unique opportunities and challenges, so it is essential that we have a presence where decisions are being made. Advocating for our key Siouxland priorities in Lincoln like this connects us to our state capital. The Chamber is especially grateful to the different organizations and industries who took time out of their busy schedules to represent our area in this effort,” said Aron Wehr, President of South Sioux City Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism.
The South Sioux City Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism and Convention and Visitors Bureau advances the commercial, industrial, agricultural, civic, educational and general interest of the South Sioux City trade area. The Chamber is dedicated to promoting growth and prosperity to local businesses and is guided by its mission to increase business, quality of life, and employment in the greater Siouxland Area.
