Huskers Name 2022 Football Captains

Nebraska soccer can have 4 workforce captains for the 2022 season, and three are on the defensive aspect of the ball.

Chosen by a vote of their teammates have been linebacker Nick Henrich, edge rushers Garrett Nelson and Caleb Tannor, and tight finish Travis Vokolek.  The choices have been introduced Saturday night.

Every is in at the very least his fourth season in this system, and the 4 have performed a mixed 112 video games at Nebraska, together with 62 begins, in response to the Athletic Division.

An Omaha native, Henrich made 99 tackles throughout the 2021 season and has 13 profession begins. Henrich earned a level in psychology in three years and is taking graduate lessons.

Nelson, from Scottsbluff, has logged 20 profession begins and 102  tackles, together with 17½ for loss. He earned his diploma in finance in Might.

Tannor has performed in 44 video games with 22 begins. The native of Stone Mountain, Ga., enters his last season with greater than 80 tackles, together with 12 for loss. He graduated final December with a level in baby, youth and household sciences.

Vokolek is in his fourth season within the Husker program and his sixth season of faculty soccer. He has performed in 36 video games throughout his faculty profession, together with 17 at Nebraska. He graduated final August with a level in baby, youth and household research.

Nebraska opens its season Aug. 27 towards Northwestern in Dublin, Eire.
