Fall weather returns in time for the Fall Equinox and sunny skies ahead for across Greater Nebraska
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) – We have been higher than average in terms of temperature as we made our way through the last week. Along with lots of sunshine, we have stayed mainly dry. That trend will change slightly as we go through the weekend, as more clouds, some rain, and cooler air will filter in. We started out with some sunshine for Saturday, followed by increasing clouds and a chance of evening showers; highs cooled into the mid-70s.
For Sunday we will keep the clouds and scattered showers through the day; along with a strong northerly wind, highs near 63.
By Monday we are back to sunny skies and highs in the lower 70s. Tuesday brings mostly sunny skies as high pressure is firmly in charge; highs will rise into the mid-70s. A southerly wind will set up as the high moves to the east on Wednesday; it will continue to give us sunshine with highs in the upper 70s.
Thursday we will have sunny skies with highs near 80. And we keep mostly sunny skies for Friday with highs near 80. Next Saturday mostly sunny skies and highs near 79.
