LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – As they do during most games, fans were less than pleased with some of the officiating that occurred during the Nebraska-Ohio State game on Saturday.

During the game, it seemed that the ball wasn’t spotted correctly on several occasions, most notably towards the end of the first half when Nebraska’s Emmett Johnson appeared to have gained a first down but instead the ball was was placed a full yard short of the line to gain.

On Monday, the Big Ten Chief Operating Officer released a statement to the media.

Nebraska lost valuable time off the clock during this series of plays, while still managing to make a field goal as time expired in the first half.
