Authorities investigating shooting at Rushville livestock barn

Wednesday, at roughly 5:25 p.m. MT, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Workplace requested help from the Nebraska State Patrol in response to a taking pictures on the Rushville Sale Barn. The incident occurred following an argument between two individuals. After preliminary investigation, investigators consider that following the verbal altercation, the suspect, recognized as Gilbert Grooms, 44, of Oglala, South Dakota, retrieved a shotgun from his automobile. He then fired within the course of the sufferer, recognized as Charles Winters, 35, of Martin, South Dakota.
