Assault charges against Mickey Joseph dismissed

The felony case towards former Nebraska soccer coach Mickey Joseph was dropped Wednesday.

Joseph was arrested in November on suspicion of strangulation and third-degree home assault after police responded to a name to his residence in south Lincoln. Officers alleged within the official report that Joseph engaged in a bodily and verbal altercation with a girl.

The girl refused to testify within the case, a prosecutor stated Wednesday in Lancaster County Courtroom. In keeping with a court docket submitting, the girl didn’t cooperate with a number of makes an attempt by the county legal professional to safe the girl as a witness.

Joseph, 55, had been scheduled for a preliminary listening to Wednesday.
