Woman still missing after boat sank Sunday on Missouri River

MODALE, Iowa (KMTV) — On Monday, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Workplace suspended a search for a lady who went lacking after a ship sank on the Missouri River Sunday evening.

A 20-year-old girl, who was not recognized by title, continues to be lacking. The girl went lacking after a ship took on water, finally sinking, close to mile marker 656 of the Missouri River. Harrison County dispatch obtained the decision simply minutes earlier than midnight on Sunday, prompting a big response from native, state and federal emergency companies.

First responders noticed a ship that was rescuing others from the water and interviewed different people who notified authorities that the girl was nonetheless lacking. Search efforts continued by way of the day Monday till being known as off resulting from “hazardous climate situation,” and the Harrison County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned in a press launch that the “operations will resume as soon as circumstances not threaten restoration efforts.”
