What's Missouri's #1 Attraction in 2024? It's Very Unexpected
Missouri has some iconic places, but none of the more well-known destinations were named the best place to visit in the state in 2024. I’d guess that if I gave you a thousand guesses, you probably still wouldn’t be able to name it. I wasn’t either at it’s a very unexpected recommendation, but not wrong.
When most vacationers and/or travelers think of Missouri, many places come to mind like The Gateway Arch, Silver Dollar City, Branson and I could go on and on. The #1 attraction in Missouri for 2024 isn’t any of those based on a recent recommendation though.
Travel Triangle says you need to bypass all of those and head to a different Missouri place. They say it doesn’t get any better than Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camdenton, Missouri.
The fact that this is the location of the famous deserted castle ruins is perfect. Considering all of the other Lake of the Ozarks things to do, I’d have to add my own amen to their recommendation.
I know that Missouri gets laughed at sometimes by the east and west coast folks. But, this is a great example of why I think we live in the most underrated parts of America. In just one road trip, you can do about a half dozen completely different types of adventure. That’s why I think putting Ha Ha Tonka State Park on your 2024 to-do list is great advice. You can’t go wrong with one of the prettiest parts of Missouri.
