US (MO): University of Missouri to host hydroponics workshop on May 8

The University of Missouri Adair County Extension will host a hydroponics workshop at the Missouri Department of Conservation Northeast Regional office on May 8.

The most of their extension offices have been holding similar events around the state, with this one being the first one in Kirksville.

Hydroponics is a type of horticulture that involves growing plants, usually crops, without soil and in an environmentally controlled environment. With this method, growers can harvest crops multiple times year-round, even during the winter months.

Jennifer Schutter, a field specialist in horticulture for the University of Missouri Adair County Extension, told KTVO that people who sign up for this workshop will learn about all things hydroponic.
