JEFFERSON CITY – The Truman Boulevard Bridge over U.S. Route 50 will close Oct. 9 for rehabilitation work, according to the Missouri Department of Transportation.
MoDOT crews will close the bridge starting at 1 a.m. in order to replace the expansion joints, repair the concrete, and apply a protective coating.
The closure will last for 10 days. Crews may begin some work in late September, prior to the closure, but that will not impact traffic. All repairs should be completed by the end of November, weather permitting.
The project also includes repair work to the Cole County Route D bridge over U.S. Route 50. This bridge will be closed for three days with a start date to be determined.
