MEMPHIS, Mo. (WGEM) – A roof collapsed at a business in Memphis, Mo., Thursday night, according to Scotland County Sheriff Bryan Whitney.

Whitney said that at 7 p.m. an officer reported that the west side of the roof at Memphis Lumber Company at 114 W Monroe Street collapsed.

According to Whitney, the business was closed at the time of the collapse and no one was injured.

He said that the collapse is not fixable and was caused by a large amount of snow on the roof.

Whitney said a co-owner of Memphis Lumber Company had noted Thursday morning that the roof was sagging.

Whitney reported that police tape is blocking off the southside sidewalk in front of the business until it is able to be cleaned up.
