Raylen Sharpe, Missouri State football’s All-American WR, back in transfer portal | Report
Raylen Sharpe, Missouri State football’s All-American wide receiver, is back in the transfer portal after initially taking his name out when he first entered at the end of the 2023 regular season.
Multiple national recruiting outlets reported the news on Wednesday afternoon with 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz being the first.
Sharpe is coming off arguably the best single season by any Missouri State wide receiver. He caught a school-record 73 passes in addition to having 991 receiving yards and seven touchdowns — the latter two stats ranking second in school history behind Ty Scott, who played two more games than Sharpe did last season.
Sharpe also achieved a school record with six 100-yard receiving games, including an 11-reception, 160-yard and two-touchdown performance against then-ranked Northern Iowa.

Missouri State football coach Ryan Beard, during a radio interview during Tuesday night’s Bears baseball game against Mizzou said Sharpe didn’t play during the spring but he was present. Beard expressed excitement in having his first-team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference receiver and third-team All-American back in a Bears uniform. He also spoke highly of the Bears’ receiving depth.
