Monday marks 80 years since USS Missouri’s launch

Monday officially marked 80 years since the launch of the USS Missouri, the battleship on which Japan formally surrendered in WWII.

It’s also the 25th anniversary of the ship’s memorial becoming a floating museum in Pearl Harbor.

5 EYEWITNESS NEWS Anchor Megan Newquist and Photojournalist Bill Middeke had the privilege of visiting the ship when they recently traveled to Hawaii.
