MO attorney general demands Gardner’s resignation, threatens to file removal proceedings
ST. LOUIS (KMOV) — Missouri Lawyer Basic Andrew Bailey demanded Wednesday that St. Louis Circuit Lawyer Kim Gardner instantly resign or face elimination proceedings by his workplace.
Bailey stated in a press launch that if Gardner doesn’t resign by midday Thursday, he’ll file elimination proceedings towards her. Many different officers, together with St. Louis Mayor Tishaura Jones, criticized Gardner within the wake of an accident that left a teen critically injured. Two St. Louis aldermen have known as for her resignation.
“It’s time for the Circuit Lawyer to go and for the rule of legislation and justice to prevail,” Bailey stated within the press launch Wednesday night.
