Missouri State Highway Patrol logs 11 arrests in north Missouri April 1–5, 2025

The Missouri State Highway Patrol recently released a report detailing the number of arrests made in north Missouri between April 1 and April 5, 2025. The report indicates that a total of 11 individuals were arrested during this time period. Some of the reasons for these arrests include driving while intoxicated, outstanding warrants, and driving-related offenses.

It is important to note that, while all the individuals listed below have been reported as arrested, they may not have been physically transported to jail. Depending on the circumstances, an individual may be issued a summons, which includes a court date. When the Missouri State Highway Patrol issues a summons with a court date, it is considered an arrest, even if the individual is not physically transported to a detention center.

Donta R. Prater, 33, of St. Joseph, Missouri, was arrested on April 1 at 4:30 p.m. in Buchanan County. She was taken into custody on a misdemeanor warrant for speeding issued by Nodaway County. Prater was held at the Buchanan County Law Enforcement Center and was bondable.

Aaron J. Becker, 26, of Carrollton, Missouri, was arrested on April 2 at 11:01 p.m. in Grundy County. He was charged with driving while intoxicated, which is classified as a misdemeanor. Becker was booked into the Grundy County Jail and was later released.

Dennis O. Williams, 36, of Kansas City, Missouri, was arrested on April 3 at 10:39 a.m. in Holt County. He was taken into custody on a misdemeanor warrant issued by Jackson County. Williams was held in Holt County and was bondable.

Raymond G. Pendleton, 64, of Easton, Missouri, was arrested on April 3 at 8:40 p.m. in Buchanan County. He was charged with a felony warrant for obstructing a court order out of Platte County, Nebraska. He was also charged with driving while revoked and failure to signal. Pendleton was held at the Buchanan County Jail and was bondable.

Shelby M. Whitman, 23, of Trenton, Missouri, was arrested on April 3 at 11:30 p.m. in Livingston County. He was charged with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated and with operating a vehicle with expired registration. Whitman was held at the Livingston County Jail on a 24-hour hold.

Johnathan O. Ryan, 40, of Cameron, Missouri, was arrested on April 4 at 10:00 p.m. in Caldwell County. He was charged with first-offense driving while intoxicated and for failing to drive on the right half of the roadway. Ryan was held at the Caldwell County Detention Center on a 24-hour hold.

Craig A. Vanhyning, 59, of Winchester, Illinois, was arrested on April 3 at 1:44 p.m. in Lewis County. He was charged with misdemeanor theft. Vanhyning was released following his arrest.

Schuyler E. Manson, 47, of Brunswick, Missouri, was arrested on April 4 at 10:55 p.m. in Chariton County. He was charged with driving while intoxicated. Manson was booked at the Chariton County Jail and was later released.

Seth A. Tucker, 29, of Salisbury, Missouri, was arrested on April 5 at 1:12 a.m. in Chariton County. He was charged with driving while intoxicated involving alcohol and with failing to drive on the right half of the roadway. Tucker was held by the Chariton County Sheriff’s Department and was later released.

Kevin J. Akers, 45, of Barnhart, Missouri, was arrested on April 5 at 3:05 a.m. in Shelby County. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and with careless and imprudent driving. Akers was released to seek medical treatment and was not transported to jail.

Paul A. Elliott, 36, of Monroe City, Missouri, was arrested on April 5 at 9:42 p.m. in Marion County. He was charged with first-offense driving while intoxicated involving alcohol, speeding, failure to maintain the right half of the roadway, and consumption of alcohol while driving. Elliott was held at the Monroe City Police Department and was later released.
