Humane Society of Southwest Missouri offers low-cost vaccine and microchip clinic
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – If you’re a pet owner in the Springfield area and need to get your pet vaccinated or microchipped, the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is offering a low-cost clinic this weekend.
The Humane Society offers vaccines for both dogs and cats, as well as an option for microchips. If you can’t make Saturday’s clinic, the Humane Society says it offers one every month.
”Our favorite part is just knowing that we can help out as many animals as we can each month and be a resource to those who might not be able to afford it otherwise. We just really want to do our part to help as many animals as we can, and it never hurts to see a lot of cute furry friends come through our doors. It makes our day as well,” said McKenzie Palmer, with the Humane Society of SWMO.
The clinic starts at 10 a.m. and runs until 80 people are registered or until 2 p.m. whichever comes first.
When you arrive, you’re asked to come in without your pet to get a number, then wait in your car to be called in. Dogs must be on a leash, and cats must be in carriers.
You can call the day of the clinic at 417-833-2526 to check on the status.
