The Missouri State Highway Patrol announced Tuesday that 55-year-old Jonathan J. Floyd of Perry was the person fatally shot in Ralls County on Sunday.

The homicide, which happened near Monroe City, is under investigation by the Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control.

A person of interest in the shooting, 57-year-old Charles Armour, was later shot and killed by law enforcement officers from the Highway Patrol and Randolph County on Sunday in Paris, Missouri, in an exchange of gunfire, officials said. The Highway Patrol said Armour shot a Randolph County deputy during the incident.
