Florence woman dies in Christmas Eve crash on Highway 50

MORGAN COUNTY – A 26-year-old girl died Saturday afternoon after a three-vehicle crash on Freeway 50.

Kristan Worth, of Florence, drove into the westbound lanes whereas touring on eastbound Freeway 50 and struck one other car, in line with a Missouri State Freeway Patrol crash report.

The second car, pushed by Trenton Overhue, 37, skid into the south facet of the highway and got here to a relaxation.

Worth’s car then returned to the eastbound lanes, traveled into the westbound lanes and struck a 3rd car, pushed by Layne Fischer, 28. Worth’s car overturned and got here to a relaxation, the report mentioned.

Worth was pronounced lifeless on the scene. Fischer had minor accidents and was taken to Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia by ambulance.

Worth and Fischer’s autos have been totaled. Overhue’s had intensive harm, the report famous.

Fischer was not sporting a seatbelt, the report mentioned. MSHP says it’s unknown if Worth had a seatbelt on.
