Fight breaks out involving handgun at Southeast Missouri State, one person arrested

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) – A battle was reported at Southeast Missouri State College (SEMO) on Thursday, July 21, involving the show of a handgun.

Based on a launch from the college, the battle was reported at 3:36 p.m. on the Towers East residence corridor, involving college students.

College Police say a witness advised them {that a} handgun was displayed through the altercation.

Taron Woods, 21, of St. Louis was recognized whereas officers have been investigating.

Woods was arrested and expenses have been filed for illegal use of a weapon,

He’s being held on the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff’s Workplace with a $1,500 money or surety bond.
