Alabama football injury report: See who’s out, probable for Missouri game
Alabama football released its first availability report of Missouri week on Wednesday, and it confirmed what was already revealed by Crimson Tide head coach Kalen DeBoer. Veteran safety Keon Sabb will miss Saturday’s game after suffering what DeBoer called a “lower-extremity injury” during UA’s loss to Tennessee last week.
“We’re still gathering information here,” DeBoer said during his weekly press conference on Monday. “But we do expect him to be down for a while. So, that could be an extended amount of time and we’ll just continue to evaluate that.”
DeBoer said he expected the rest of the Crimson Tide’s defensive backs to be able to play on Saturday. That would presumably include Red Morgan, who was listed as probable on Wednesday’s report.
The only other player on the report was linebacker Cayden Jones, who will be out for the second week in a row. Missouri’s report was significantly more concerning than Alabama’s.
Tiger quarterback Brady Cook is listed as doubtful, due to an ankle injury he sustained in last week’s matchup with Auburn. The injury required a trip to a nearby hospital for an MRI, before Cook returned to lead a comeback victory in Columbia.
Missouri’s leading rusher, Nate Noel is also listed as doubtful. 12 additional Tigers were listed on the report.
Alabama and Missouri are scheduled to kick off at 2:45 p.m. CT on Saturday at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will be aired on ABC.
