POLO, Mo. (AP) — Hearth officers are investigating three apparently associated arson fires close to a small northwest Missouri city.

The Caldwell County Sheriff’s workplace says 96-year-old Lorene Fickess died in a fireplace at her dwelling Tuesday close to Polo. The sheriff’s workplace says Fickess’ demise is being investigated as a murder.

The primary hearth was reported about 8:30 a.m. at a house in rural Polo. Within the two hours after the primary hearth, firefighters and deputies responded to 2 extra fires alongside the identical street. No accidents have been reported from these fires.

The sheriff mentioned witnesses noticed a darkish, four-door, passenger automotive, probably a black Dodge Caliber, close to the scene of all three fires.
