Whipping Winds Create Dust Clouds Amid Hazardous Dry Conditions in Minnesota
Winds whipping across farmland in Morris, Minnesota, created dust clouds as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned of critical fire weather in parts of the state on Monday, May 12. Carol Bauer captured this video and posted it to X with the caption, reading in part, “very windy, dry and dusty.” The NWS said heat combined with strong winds and low humidity created conditions favorable for rapid fire spread in the region.
