Teen Boy Airlifted Following Stabbing at Minnesota Apartment
Mankato, MN (KROC-AM News)- A teenage boy was airlifted to Rochester following a stabbing at a southern Minnesota apartment complex.
A news release issued by the Mankato Department of Public Safety says officers were dispatched to the report of the boy being stabbed in the abdomen shortly before 1:00 Friday morning.
The stabbing report came from the Sibley Park Apartments at 410 Sibley Pkwy. in Mankato.
Officials say the victim, who is 16 years old, was airlifted to a Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester following officers arrival. The name and condition of the boy are not available.

Upon further investigation, officers learned the victim was involved in a disturbance at the apartment complex prior to the stabbing.
Authorities identified the suspect as 19-year-old Zion Olivera and arrested him after executing a search warrant at one of the apartments.
Olivera is being held at the Blue Earth County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault and third-degree assault.
Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing as efforts continue to learn of the events that led up to the reported stabbing.
The incident is believed to have been isolated. Officials are asking anyone with information regarding the stabbing to report it to law enforcement.
