No. 61 Women’s Tennis Drops 4-2 Decision to No. 62 Minnesota – Penn State University Athletics
SAINT PAUL, Minn. — The 61st-ranked Penn State ladies’s tennis staff (10-11, 4-5 B1G) fell 4-2 on the highway to No. 62 Minnesota (15-9, 3-6 B1G) on Sunday afternoon.
DOUBLES
The Golden Gophers earned the doubles level with wins on courts No. 1 and No. 2.
Minnesota’s duo, Ekin Ercetin and Emilee Doung defeated Karly Friedland and Sofiya Chekhlystova, 6-2, on court docket No. 1.
The doubles level was determined by a win from Rachel Hanford and Dailila Stated, 6-0, over Penn State’s pairing, Yvonne Zuffova and Olivia Ryan. Courtroom No. 3 was left unfinished between duo Gabby O’Gorman and Alexandra Nielsen and pairing Lucy Lu and Maria Rizzolo.
