Minnesota weather: North-central areas pick up to snow, others wake up dry
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – The much-anticipated snowfall might leave some feeling disappointed on Saturday morning, while some areas got substantially more snow than others.

The southern parts of the metro are seeing significantly less snow than the northern parts.
Our Fox 9 Meteorologists say snow in Minnesota will end Saturday morning, with the heaviest concentrated in western Wisconsin.
Temperatures will drop after the snow and remain below normal throughout the week.
Early risers will wake up to fresh fluffy snow on the ground while others (especially in the southern Metro) won’t have much to deal with.

Big picture view:
As of about 5:30 a.m. Saturday, most roads in the Twin Cities metro area are partially covered, according to live updates from the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT).
The northern Metro and northward will have slower travel on this Saturday with many snow-covered roads to wake up to.
Meanwhile, MnDOT reports roads outside the metro are completely covered.
Metro Transit announced that delays are currently minimal as of just after 5 a.m.
