McIntosh woman killed in two-vehicle McLeod County, Minnesota, crash
MCLEOD COUNTY, Minn. — A 66-year-old woman from McIntosh, Minnesota, was killed in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning, Jan. 28, while traveling in McLeod County.
A 2017 Ford Escape was headed westbound on 230th Street, while a 2023 Hino straight truck was traveling northbound on Highway 22, and the two collided, according to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety’s crash report.
The driver of the Ford Escape — Roxanne Marie Stordahl — was killed.
Inside the straight truck were a driver, Rolando Valencia Pliego, and passenger, Manuel Geovanny Loja Montero. They both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Pliego, 42, is from Eagan, Minnesota. Montero, 18, is from Minneapolis.
Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. Stordahl’s airbag was deployed. Road conditions were dry, but weather conditions are not specified in the report.
Our newsroom occasionally reports stories under a byline of “staff.” Often, the “staff” byline is used when rewriting basic news briefs that originate from official sources, such as a city press release about a road closure, and which require little or no reporting. At times, this byline is used when a news story includes numerous authors or when the story is formed by aggregating previously reported news from various sources. If outside sources are used, it is noted within the story.
