Man jumps from boat, dies trying to rescue dog from western Minnesota lake

A person jumped from a pontoon right into a western Minnesota lake and died in an effort to rescue his canine, authorities mentioned Monday.

The loss of life, described as a suspected drowning, occurred about 1:15 p.m. Saturday on South Lake Lida, positioned about seven miles east of Pelican Rapids, the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Workplace mentioned.
