Large fire burning at Fort Snelling in Minnesota
(FOX 9) – A big fireplace burned at a constructing at Fort Snelling on Thursday afternoon.
The fireplace is at one of many outdated officers’ buildings that’s being transformed to veteran and low-income housing on the deserted Higher Publish at Fort Snelling. Staff will work to rebuild the construction, Minneapolis Fireplace Deputy Chief Kathleen Mullen mentioned on the scene.
Muellen mentioned the fireplace was exhibiting throughout the roofline when crews arrived and the windy circumstances on Thursday made it troublesome to battle the blaze, pushing the fireplace inward. The majority of the fireplace was out by 4:30 p.m.
