The Bad Waitress to close in Minneapolis after nearly 20 years

The Dangerous Waitress is closing its doorways after nearly 20 years in enterprise.

The diner recognized for its capacious pancakes made the announcement on its Fb web page Wednesday, closing indefinitely after brunch service on Jan. 29.

The family-owned restaurant in Minneapolis Eat Avenue space has been open since 2005.

“We have believed because the begin that brunch makes the whole lot higher — however this time, it could not save the day,” homeowners Andy and Mary Cohen wrote.

“Being part of Eat Avenue and serving the Whittier neighborhood and past these previous 18 years has been an honor. The energy, spirit, resilience and assist of this neighborhood will proceed to encourage us for years to come back, and we’re so grateful to have had the chance to serve you. We couldn’t have executed it with out all of you.”

The Dangerous Waitress’ second location in northeast Minneapolis shuttered operations in 2020.
