Police say two people responsible for violent attacks in Minneapolis

From MPR News: “Minneapolis police are investigating links between six separate violent incidents which resulted in two people being shot and wounded early Tuesday morning on the city’s south side. Police say the robberies, burglaries and shootings took place over a nearly two hour period starting at 5 a.m.”

The Star Tribune’s Greta Kaul reports: “The Twin Cities region will add 650,000 people by 2050, if the latest Metropolitan Council forecast holds true.”

Also from the Strib, Paul Walsh reports: “A Minneapolis attorney is under investigation on suspicion of sneaking illicit drugs to inmates in the Hennepin County jail, according to newly filed court documents.”

KARE 11’s Felicity Dachel reports: “Nearly a year after the death of a Minneapolis woman (Allison Lussier), police chief Brian O’Hara gave an update on the investigation, saying the case has been presented to the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office for consideration of charges.

From WCCO: “A former St. Paul high school volleyball coach pleaded guilty to charges in connection to sexually assaulting a 15-year-old player on his team.”

Peter Passi at the Duluth News Tribune reports: “After years of litigation, the future of the Pastoret Terrace building, formerly home to the Kozy Bar and Apartments, appears likely to finally have been put to rest.”
