Fire destroys unit of Minneapolis fourplex overnight, no injuries
MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) – A hearth destroyed a unit of a Minneapolis fourplex in a single day.
Round 2:45 a.m. Saturday, crews with the Minneapolis Fireplace Division responded to a report of a fireplace in a 2.5-story, fourplex residential dwelling at 3024 Park Avenue South. When crews arrived, they discovered fireplace on the primary ground.
“We arrived, and we discovered fireplace already damaged out the home windows of the primary ground,” Minneapolis Fireplace deputy chief Kathleen Mullen mentioned.
Firefighters laid strains to extinguish the hearth and searched the fourplex for any victims. They discovered none. Mullen mentioned the residents weren’t dwelling on the time of the hearth.
Crews had been in a position to extinguish the hearth earlier than it unfold to different residential items, the division mentioned.
“Sadly, the downstairs unit just isn’t going to be liveable,” Mullen mentioned. “However the remainder of the items are going to be alright within the constructing.”
The reason for the hearth is below investigation.
