Delta jet slides off taxiway at MSP Airport

A floor cease was initiated at Minneapolis-St. Paul Worldwide Airport Tuesday night time after a Delta jet slid off a taxiway amid a winter storm that dumped heavy snow and freezing rain on Minnesota. 

The pilots landed the plane from safely after which skidded off the taxiway round 6:40 p.m. The Airbus A320 that skidded off the taxiway was Delta Air Strains flight 1819, which arrived at MSP from Los Cabos, Mexico.

FAA data reveals {that a} floor cease for all runways was initiated at 7:02 p.m. and was set to run out at 8:30 p.m., however freezing drizzle has since saved them closed, with incoming plane being diverted.

Nick Benson, who runs the favored Minneapolis/St. Paul Aviation Recognizing group on Fb, introduced at about 8:15 p.m. that at the least 31 flights had been diverted as a consequence of icy runaways at MSP.
