56-year-old man stabbed in Minneapolis Friday, police say

Police say a 56-year-old man is within the hospital after being stabbed close to downtown Minneapolis Friday afternoon.

Officers responded to the stabbing round 2:47 p.m. close to the 1300 block of Linden Avenue. Early investigations point out that two males, who knew one another, had a verbal altercation that led to a stabbing. Police discovered the person who was stabbed at eighth and Hennepin, the place he walked after it occurred, in line with the Minneapolis Police Division.

Police say the person was transported to the hospital with a “probably life-threatening harm.”

The opposite man concerned within the stabbing is cooperating with investigators, MPD says.
