12-year-old boy seriously injured in Minneapolis stabbing
MINNEAPOLIS — A 12-year-old boy is significantly injured after police say he was stabbed Saturday afternoon in a Minneapolis condo.
The Minneapolis Police Division says it went to an condo on the 3200 block of Cedar Avenue South after an unknown bother name to 911 the place kids had been heard screaming inside an condo.
Officers met a lady who knowledgeable them her 9 and 12-year-old sons had been locked in her condo with a person armed with a knife.
Police compelled entry into the condo and confronted the person, who was allegedly holding the 12-year-old to himself and holding a knife to the boy’s neck.
After giving instructions for the person to drop the knife, one of many officers deployed a Taser, inflicting the person to drop his grip on the boy, who was capable of get away, MPD reviews.
