Snow 'Likely' In The Milwaukee Metro This Week: WI Weather

MILWAUKEE — Somehow, immediately after warm weather and fire risk, Wisconsin residents will see a good chance for snow in the second half of this week.

According to the National Weather Service, ” snow is “likely” on Thursday evening in the Milwaukee metro.

“Temperatures rise once again on Tuesday, only to fall behind an overnight cold front and continue to only rise into the 30s through the end of the week,” the NWS said. “Snowfall expected Thursday afternoon through Thursday night, with rain mixing in during the afternoon hours.”

Here’s the week-ahead NWS forecast from the Milwaukee Airport:

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.

Monday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 30. West wind around 10 mph.

Tuesday: Partly sunny, with a high near 51. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 20 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 28. Northwest wind around 15 mph.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 37. Breezy, with a northwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 22. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Thursday: A 20 percent chance of snow showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 34. North wind around 10 mph becoming east in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Snow showers likely. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of snow showers before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 37.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27.
