Mother stabbed, Milwaukee man found guilty

A jury discovered a Milwaukee man responsible Tuesday, Sept. 13 of fatally stabbing the mom of his children in 2016.

Fredrick Ramsey, 37, was charged with first-degree reckless murder for the loss of life of Alexandria Taylor. He had initially been charged with second-degree reckless murder.

Based on the legal grievance, Ramsey and Taylor had been in a relationship for 11 years and had two children collectively.

On June 11, 2016, the grievance states Ramsey and Taylor obtained into an argument behind a fuel station within the space of Atkinson and Keefe. There was a wrestle “over a handbag,” and police have been referred to as to separate the 2. Later, Ramsey went on the lookout for Taylor.

The grievance states Ramsey discovered Taylor sitting on some porch steps close to fifth and Vienna, parked his car and approached her. That’s when Taylor “tried to enter the residence she was at however he grabbed her by the arm and spun her round.” Ramsey stabbed Taylor within the chest after she allegedly slapped him within the face.

The grievance stated Taylor tried to seize the knife, however as a substitute fell down the porch steps. She then tried to crawl up the steps, however the grievance states Ramsey stabbed her once more and left the scene. When police arrived on the scene, Taylor was discovered inside the lounge of the residence. She was declared useless on the scene.

Ramsey is due again in courtroom for sentencing on Oct. 7.
