Milwaukee Dragon Boat Festival returns to lakefront

The Milwaukee Dragon Boat Pageant returned Saturday, Aug. 13 after a two-year hiatus because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Greater than 50 groups from Wisconsin, Illinois and Iowa competed in colorfully adorned 43-foot-long dragon boats at Lakeshore State Park. 

“This competition has added richness to our vibrant metropolis. After two years of anticipation, we expect a file end up this yr,” mentioned Danwei Han, the competition’s planning committee government director.

Along with the dragon boat race, the competition included Chinese language cultural performances, a market and martial arts. Asian Fusion meals was additionally accessible.
