Milwaukee Bucks vs New York Knicks Prediction, Odds and Picks

The Bucks and Knicks run it back just 2 days after their early tip-off clash at Madison Square Garden which went Milwaukee’s way 130-111. Giannis and co. are aiming to win their 9th straight vs New York, they’re once again favorites by 2.5 points here. Saturday’s game was never really in doubt, the road team went up by 9 pts after the first quarter and coasted the rest of the way. Winning the rebounding battle was the key as they collected 12 more boards, but they also shot over 52% from the field and 50% from three. Not much should change in their approach here, they seem to have the Knicks figured out. They’ve not lost to them since November of 2021, while their last defeat at MSG was in December of 2020.

Pride has to kick in at some point here, the Knicks are getting absolutely destroyed every time they face this team. The average margin of defeat during the losing streak is 12.3 points per game, something dramatically would have to change in their approach if they want to end this poor run on Christmas Day. Mitchell Robinson isn’t returning any time soon, I’m just not sure if New York can win the rebounding battle without him. Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle both had solid games on the offensive end with 36 and 26 points scored, but it all comes down to defense if you want to beat the Bucks. They have the 3rd best offensive rating in the NBA currently and have put up at least 128 points in 5 of their last 6 games.

Desperate is the word I’d use to describe the Knicks coming into Monday’s game. But, I still don’t see how they can beat this Bucks team that’s owned them pretty much for the past 3 seasons. Milwaukee is on a 7-game win streak and has covered the spread 7 times in the last 9 meetings. Go with the Bucks once again.

Bucks -3 is available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
