MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – As the Milwaukee Bucks and the rest of the NBA enter the All-Star break, the team will have another new player when they return to play next week.

The Milwaukee Bucks have agreed to sign free agent Danilo Gallinari for the remainder of the season, as originally reported by Shams Charania of Stadium and The Athletic on Thursday evening. Michael Tellem of Excel Basketball, Gallinari’s agent, also confirmed the deal to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

He is scoring just 7.9 points per game this season. But during his career, the 35-year-old has shown that he is a capable scorer. During the 2018–19 season, he averaged a career-high 19.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game while playing for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Gallinari chose the 3rd place Bucks over the LA Clippers and Phoenix Suns despite the team currently being 3-7 under head coach Doc Rivers and losing back-to-back games heading into the break.
