Milwaukee Brewers pound out 16 hits, blast Tigers
(WNFL) – The MIlwaukee Brewers pounded out 10 hits and got 8 innings of scoreless pitching from Tobias Myers in beating the Detroit Tigers 10-0 in Detroit on Friday.
Myers allowed 1 hit and 3 walks while striking out 5 over 8 innings in easily his best start of the season.
Offensively, the Brewers pounded Tigers starting pitcher Reese Olson, tagging him for 5 runs in the second inning and 3 more in the fourth.
Bryce Turang had 4 hits for Milwaukee while Blake Perkins and Christian Yelich both had 3 hits.
Perkins had his first 2 career triples, scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Turang scored twice and drove in 2 runs. William Contreras and Joey Ortiz also both drove in 2 runs.
