Milwaukee primarily based African American Roundtable was awarded the $500,000 True Reformer Institutional Grant from Public Welfare Basis (PWF).

Seven True Reformer grants have been awarded to organizations nationally which can be advancing restorative, community-led, and racially simply approaches to justice to honor the Basis’s seventy fifth anniversary.

The Public Welfare Basis has supported efforts to advance justice and alternative for individuals in want. In its 75-year historical past, the Basis has remodeled 5,700 grants totaling greater than $700 million.

In 2017, Markasa Tucker-Harris grew to become the director. At the moment the group was engaged on police reform. In 2019, the group moved from police reform work to making a marketing campaign known as LiberateMKE.
