A 19-year-old man driving a Cadillac sedan lost control in snowy conditions this morning (Friday) while attempting to turn right from Milwaukee Avenue to Greenwood Avenue before striking a Tesla sedan.

The driver of the Cadillac ATS was transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge by Niles Fire Dept. paramedics with minor injuries.

The accident occurred at 8:22 a.m. Niles police said the unidentified 19-year-old was traveling southbound on Milwaukee when he attempted to turn right onto Greenwood, striking the Tesla S60, which was in the left turning lane of northbound Greenwood.

Police said the accident caused partial lane closures for about an hour. Traffic was able to continue flowing through the intersection as investigators worked. Both cars were towed from the scene.
