City of Milwaukee: Seeking developer proposals for Homes MKE initiative

MILWAUKEE – The Division of Metropolis Growth (DCD) is searching for proposals from builders to take part within the Properties MKE initiative. This effort will renovate vacant Metropolis-owned residential properties that can assist construct stronger neighborhoods all through Milwaukee.

In 2021, Mayor Cavalier Johnson and members of the Milwaukee Frequent Council allotted $15 million in federal American Rescue Plan Act funding to DCD for the Properties MKE program. The purpose is to renovate vacant homes within the Metropolis’s stock of tax-foreclosed residential properties and return them to productive use.
