Bullet hits Milwaukee alderman’s home
MILWAUKEE — A bullet was fired into Milwaukee Alderman Robert J. Bauman’s dwelling on Sunday, Nov. 6, in line with a press release from the alderman.
Ald. Bauman stated at round 2:27 p.m., photographs had been fired from a car touring west on W. Kilbourn Avenue and south on N. twenty ninth Road.
At the very least one bullet entered the alderman’s dwelling, touring by way of an image body and three plaster partitions. That bullet stays lodged contained in the wall.
Ald. Bauman stated the incident “serves as a reminder of a random and stunning incident that has introduced our metropolis’s gun violence epidemic fairly actually inside a usually secure haven that I share with my spouse and two pets.”
“We’re secure, though on the time my spouse was studying simply 10 ft from the place the bullet entered our dwelling,” he added.
Ald. Bauman stated it was a quiet Sunday afternoon when the bullet struck his dwelling and that Milwaukee Police Division responded in an expert method.
He urged residents to remain secure and alert, regardless of the place they’re.
“Sadly, no space of our metropolis is proof against the random and generally lethal gun violence,” he stated.
Ald. Bauman was first elected to the place in April 2004. He represents District 4 in Milwaukee.
