Video captures rollover collision as driver flees Michigan State Police

DETROIT (WILX) – Michigan State Police stated they’re seeing a rising development in drivers not pulling over for site visitors stops.

The division stated these drivers are placing themselves and others in danger. One of many newer circumstances resulted in a rollover crash on a Detroit freeway early Friday morning.

According to authorities, the incident occurred on the John C. Lodge Freeway simply after 3:30 a.m. Police stated a trooper was within the service drive close to Meyer Street when he was handed by a dashing white Chevrolet Camaro.

Police stated the trooper’s radar system clocked the Camaro at 80 miles per hour.

Authorities stated the trooper turned on his lights and tried to cease the Camaro, which entered the Lodge Freeway. The motive force misplaced management of the automobile, rolled over and slid “a number of hundred ft.”

Michigan State Police dashcam footage of the incident will be watched within the video participant above.

Police stated the motive force tried to flee on foot, however was rapidly apprehended by the trooper. He was transported to a hospital for a blood draw.

No accidents have been reported.

Had the motive force stopped, police stated he would have been charged with a misdemeanor, however now he’s more likely to be charged with a felony.
