Michigan teen reportedly impersonates police, attempts to pull over actual police officer

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – A Macomb Township man was charged with impersonating a public officer after he reportedly tried to make a site visitors cease in Rochester Hills.

In response to authorities, Christian Katan Mansoor was driving a silver BMW with flashing lights and tried a site visitors cease Monday evening in Rochester Hills. The driving force he pulled over was reportedly an off-duty Waterford Township police officer. Authorities stated when she requested Mansoor for identification, he informed her he was a Detroit police officer from the twelfth Precinct. When she requested him for identification a second time, Mansoor reportedly informed her he wanted to retrieve it from his automobile and drove off.

The off-duty officer adopted him to a trailer park in Shelby Township however overpassed the automobile. Officers stated Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputies discovered the automobile and Mansoor, who was switching license plates from the BMW to a different BMW he owned.

He was taken into custody after a brief foot chase.

Mansoor was arraigned Wednesday on a misdemeanor cost of impersonating a public officer. He was launched on $5,000 private bond.
